Service Description

Bring the bold, comforting flavours of Korean cooking into your kitchen in this hands-on cooking class focused on simple techniques and big flavour. In just two hours, you’ll learn how to build a balanced Korean-inspired meal from scratch using everyday ingredients and approachable methods you can easily recreate at home. We’ll start with beef bulgogi, thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet and savoury soy, garlic, ginger, and sesame blend, then quickly seared for maximum flavour and tenderness. You’ll learn how to balance marinades, work with high-heat cooking, and create that signature caramelized finish that makes bulgogi so irresistible. Next, we’ll make crispy scallion pancakes (pajeon)—golden, savoury pancakes with a simple batter and fresh scallions, cooked until perfectly crisp and served with a flavourful dipping sauce. This is a great technique-based recipe that teaches heat control and texture without complicated ingredients. To round out the meal, you’ll prepare quick-pickled vegetables, a refreshing, tangy side that cuts through the richness of the main dishes. You’ll learn how to instantly pickle vegetables using a simple sweet, salty, and acidic brine that can be adapted to whatever you have on hand. By the end of class, you’ll sit down to enjoy a full Korean-inspired meal featuring bulgogi with rice, scallion pancakes, and fresh pickles—plus the confidence to recreate it all at home. Perfect for beginners and food lovers alike, this class is all about approachable cooking, bold flavours, and dishes that feel like something you’d order at a restaurant—but made in your own kitchen.
