Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
These Terms & Conditions apply to all visitors, customers, and class participants of Davison Bread Co., whether engaging online or in person. By registering for a class, booking a service, purchasing a product, using our website, or checking the agreement box at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
1. Booking & Payment

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure a private class or event date.

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days (2 weeks) before the class date.

If payment is not received on time, your booking may be cancelled and the date forfeited.

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Private Classes:

Private class bookings are non-refundable.

Cancellations made within one week of the scheduled class are non-transferable and non-refundable, regardless of the reason.

Cancellations made more than one week in advance may be transferred to a future date at the discretion of Davison Bread Co., subject to availability.
Public Classes:
-
Refunds or transfers are not available within 7 days of the class.

If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place by providing their name at least 24 hours in advance.
3. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
Due to the nature of our kitchen and recipes, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. By participating, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with exposure to common allergens, including but not limited to nuts, gluten, dairy, soy, and eggs.
4. Participation & Conduct
All participants agree to:

Follow instructor guidance and kitchen safety rules

Respect shared equipment and workspace

Notify the instructor immediately of any accidents or injuries
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a class for inappropriate behaviour, unsafe conduct, or failure to comply with instructions. No refunds will be given in such cases.
5. Children’s Classes
Children must meet the minimum age requirement stated in the class description. For drop-off classes, parents/guardians must provide emergency contact details and notify us of any allergies. By enrolling a child in any of our classes, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the child. All terms stated herein apply equally to participating children and are binding as agreed by their parent or guardian. We are not responsible for belongings brought to class.
Child(ren) Supervision, Safety & Removal Policy
Our children’s cooking and baking classes are skill-based instructional programs. They are not child care, babysitting, or supervision services.
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, children are expected to follow instructions, kitchen safety rules, and respectful behaviour guidelines at all times.
If a child is unable to follow instructions, behaves in a way that is disruptive, or creates a safety concern for themselves or others, the instructor reserves the right to require that the child be picked up early or removed from the class at the instructor’s discretion.
No refunds or credits will be issued if a child is asked to be removed from a class due to behaviour or safety concerns.
Parents/guardians must provide a reliable phone number at registration and remain reachable for the duration of the class. If a child needs to be picked up early, parents/guardians are expected to do so promptly.
By registering for a class, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to these terms.
6. Gift Cards & Vouchers

All gift cards and vouchers are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.

Gift cards may be applied toward eligible classes or products.

Expiry policies, if applicable, will be stated on the card or at time of purchase.
7. Photo & Video Release
By attending a class or event, you consent to Davison Bread Co. taking photos or videos for use in promotional materials, social media, or the website. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform the instructor before the class begins.
8. Email Communications
By registering for a class, subscribing to our newsletter, or making a purchase, you consent to receive transactional and promotional emails from Davison Bread Co. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in our emails.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Davison Bread Co. and its owner(s) will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

Participation in any class or event

Consumption or handling of any food

Injuries or allergic reactions

Use of our website or online content
You participate in all activities at your own risk and agree to hold Davison Bread Co. harmless from any claims.
10. Intellectual Property
All recipes, class materials, photos, and written content are the property of Davison Bread Co. and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without prior written consent.
11. Website Use
You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only and not to misuse, copy, or alter any content. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time.
