Service Description
Help your teen build confidence and independence in the kitchen with this hands-on life skills cooking class focused on practical everyday cooking, meal planning, and budgeting skills. In this 3-hour interactive class, students will learn essential kitchen and knife skills while preparing a delicious sheet pan chicken fajita meal with rice from scratch. Along the way, we’ll discuss grocery shopping strategies, budgeting tips, meal planning, meal prep basics, and how to build simple, affordable meals at home. This class is designed to teach real-world skills teens can use for years to come, whether they’re helping at home now or preparing for future independence. Students will learn: • Basic knife skills & kitchen safety • Safe food handling practices • How to prepare a balanced meal from scratch • Meal planning & meal prep basics • Grocery budgeting tips • How to shop and cook more economically • Time-saving kitchen strategies Each student will also take home a handbook filled with recipes, meal planning resources, budgeting tips, and practical kitchen information to continue building confidence at home. Perfect for teens and beginners wanting to feel more comfortable and capable in the kitchen. Adults are also welcome to attend. Ages 14+ Adults welcome to attend as well. No experience necessary. All ingredients and equipment provided.
Cancellation Policy
All class registrations are final sale. Due to limited space and preparation costs, fees are non-refundable and non-transferable within 72 hours of the class start time. Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance may be transferred to another class, subject to a 15% service fee. The transfer must be requested within 7 days of the cancellation and applied to a class that is currently listed on the schedule and has availability. No-shows or late cancellations will forfeit the full class fee. If a class is rescheduled by the instructor (e.g., due to weather), participants will be notified at least 3 hours in advance and offered a new date or a credit toward a future class.
